Made own tool out of clay

After researching different clay tools and buying a couple of cheep wire tools, I learnt that the expensive rubber tools are easy to create with polymer clay. I decided to give it a go and I sacrificed an old pencil by moulding a cone shape at one end and then baking the clay and pencil for 5 minutes in the oven, this created a springy texture to the clay and prevented the pencil from burning. I found that the tool was very useful when creating small features of a face, like the nostrils and eye lids, the tool can fit into small holes easily and be more precise than a finger or wire tool.
